SLOWLY MOVING IMAGES (S.M.I) is a community of filmmakers, architects, and artists from all corners of the world. We found each other because we all believe in the meanings and values of collective exploration and creation while slowly exploring different places on this planet. At S.M.I, we believe that the next wave of filmmaking will not be national but global. And we will be a new generation of creators who truly make films without borders.

Today, we live in a time overflowing with "fast films" that are made to be consumed instantly and then forgotten immediately. However, in our community, we fight for SLOWLY MOVING IMAGES that cannot be digested quickly but will move you slowly and surely.

The works from Slowly Moving Images have been invited and awarded by festivals, including DMZ International Documentary Film Festival, Berlinale Film Festival, Visions du Réel, Pingyao Film Festival, etc.
